About The Position

The Registered Nurse (RN) Neuro Telemetry position is a full-time, 36-hour-per-week day-shift role at Texas Health Plano. The 25-bed Neuro Telemetry unit cares for patients with conditions including scoliosis, post-neurological surgeries, and stroke with multiple comorbidities. It is a fast-paced, high-volume department that offers opportunities for educational and career growth and supports work/life balance. The professional nurse demonstrates an understanding of basic human needs and recognition of patients’ affiliations. The RN practices within the regulations of the Texas Nurse Practice Act and serves as a role model, interdisciplinary collaborator, and coordinator for quality patient care.

Requirements

Associate degree from an accredited nursing program or a diploma nurse program.
One year of experience as a clinical nurse, or completion of an RN residency program.
BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support).
ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support).
CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) Training is required within 60 days.
Practice within the regulations of the Texas Nurse Practice Act.

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Responsibilities

Deliver patient care using the Nursing Process.
