About The Position

This position is for a Registered Nurse (RN) in a Wound Care/Hyperbaric Outpatient Clinic at Texas Health Southwest, located in Fort Worth, TX. The role involves delivering care to patients using the Nursing Process, specifically focusing on wound care in an outpatient setting. The nurse will collaborate with team members to resolve patient issues, ensure timely and accurate communication with other care providers, and conduct patient/family teaching, discharge instructions, referrals, and supply needs. The position emphasizes the use of evidence-based practice for wound care services.

Requirements

Associate degree or Nursing Diploma required.
One-year experience as a registered nurse.
Current RN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the Texas Board of Nursing upon hire.
Current BLS prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly.

Nice To Haves

BSN preferred.
Experience in outpatient wound care setting (preferred) and/or inpatient wound care

Responsibilities

Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process.
Responsible for delivery of wound care in an outpatient setting.
Work with other team members to resolve patient issues.
Ensure communication with other care providers is timely, accurate, and complete.
Patient/family teaching and discharge instructions, referrals and supply needs.
Utilizes evidence-based practice to administer wound care services.
