About The Position

This is a part-time Registered Nurse position in the Weekend Program for Urgent Care at Advocate Medical Group (AMG), part of Advocate Health. AMG is a large nonprofit health system with over 350 locations, offering a wide range of specialties. The role involves providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care using the nursing process and evidence-based practice to ensure safe, therapeutic care and a positive patient experience. The position is located at Aurora Urgent Care in Oak Creek, WI, a clinic that treats minor illnesses and injuries. The role emphasizes being part of a collaborative, patient-focused environment and contributing to redefining care.

Requirements

• Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
• Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association

Nice To Haves

• Minimum of 1 year of RN experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care through the nursing process.
• Deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
• Utilize evidence-based practice, clinical decision-making, compassion, and communication skills.
• Lead efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience.
• Respond quickly to changes in patient and/or unit conditions.
• Perform physical safety interventions such as patient restraint and verbal de-escalation, if needed.
• Wear protective clothing and equipment as necessary due to potential exposure to chemical and hazardous waste, blood and body fluids, and communicable disease.
