This PRN Registered Nurse position in Urgent Care requires 16 hours of work every two pay periods, including one required summer and winter holiday. The role involves engaging in unit councils, professional governance, and quality initiatives to improve care processes and apply evidence-based practices. The nurse will utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement, and evaluate nursing care, engaging patients and families throughout their care continuum. Responsibilities include monitoring patient conditions, adjusting care plans, mobilizing resources, collaborating with the care team, and upholding a culture of safety. The role also involves continuous evaluation of patient, team, and unit outcomes, administering medications and treatments, fostering team collaboration, and pursuing professional development. Adherence to the ANA Code of Ethics and ethical decision-making is expected, along with appropriate delegation and timely EHR documentation. The nurse may be required to float to other units or facilities and must demonstrate age-appropriate care knowledge and skills.
