About The Position

Inova Fairfax Hospital's Woodburn Surgery Center PACU is looking for an experienced Peri anesthesia RN for a Full time Unit Supervisor position. The schedule is flexible- 4x10 per week to cover 8am-630p. The shifts will be scheduled M-F, no nights, weekends, holidays, or call. Inova Woodburn Surgery Center is an ambulatory surgery center that serves a continuum of patients ranging from the adolescent to geriatric population servicing the Musculoskeletal patient population. The nurses in this unit care for the perianesthesia patient throughout all phases including Preop, Phase 1, and Phase 2; and are able to rotate to fit the needs of the unit. The Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Registered Nurse (RN) Unit Supervisor serves as a front-line leader who is accountable for delivering highly reliable results related to quality and best practices to improve the clinical operations of the unit.

Requirements

• One year of nursing experience is required
• Degree from an accredited school of nursing, BSN, or ADN within one year of BSN completion
• RN License to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia
• BLS for Healthcare Provider certification is required from AHA
• Specialty certification (as required by unit) within one year from date of hire.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Nice To Haves

• Prior leadership/supervisory experience
• 1 year + PreOp/Recovery experience to include Phase 1 and 2 recovery
