About The Position

This is a full-time, day shift position for a Registered Nurse in the Recovery/Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU). The role involves providing direct and indirect patient care using the nursing process, meeting patient and family needs, and communicating effectively with the healthcare team. The position requires the nurse to take call.

Requirements

Current state RN license
Bachelor's degree or Associate degree from an accredited nursing school
BLS, ACLS, TNCC required
1 year of experience required

Responsibilities

Performs duties as assigned and requested.
Completes focused patient assessments and reassessments based on patient’s condition, procedures, medications, and treatments.
Adequately assesses and reassesses pain; utilizes appropriate pain management techniques.
Provides patient care and communicates effectively with patients of all ages and with specific needs.
Demonstrates knowledge of medications and ensures correct administration following the six rights to minimize medication errors.
Assists physicians with procedures and provides services requiring technical and manual skills.
Performs treatments and delivers care within licensure scope.
Ensures patient safety by performing all aspects of care in an environment that reduces the likelihood of errors.
This position will take call.
