About The Position

Voorhees Pediatric Facility is seeking a Full-time RN Unit Manager to join their skilled Pediatric Nursing Team. This role is responsible for the operations of their assigned area, including planning, development, implementation, coordination, and evaluation of clinical, personnel, and administrative activities. The position involves human resource management, cost control, quality and safety, growth, and customer service, focusing on family/person-centered care for pediatric residents.

Requirements

Current NJ RN licensure or equivalent
Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or related field
Minimum of two years in Nursing Management/Supervisor role
Minimum two years’ pediatric experience preferred
Ability to communicate effectively

Responsibilities

Oversee the delivery of safe, high-quality, evidence-based nursing care while ensuring services are individualized to the needs of pediatric residents and their families.
Coordinate daily staffing, assignments, scheduling, and coverage to maintain appropriate staffing levels and skill mix based on resident acuity and department needs.
Provide leadership and support to nursing staff through daily rounds, huddles, performance management, coaching, education, and ongoing competency development.
Monitor clinical documentation, assessments, care plans, medication and treatment records, and electronic medical record requirements to ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance.
Promote compliance with infection prevention standards, facility policies, NJDHSS requirements, Joint Commission standards, and quality improvement initiatives.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, residents, families, and other departments to support effective communication, continuity of care, resident safety, and positive clinical outcomes.
