About The Position

The Registered Nurse (RN) Surgical Telemetry position at Texas Health Plano is a full-time role focused on providing high-quality care to patients undergoing general medical surgery, surgical telemetry, and post-op coronary bypass. These patients are admitted to the unit after their recovery period in the ICU. The role involves utilizing the Nursing Process to assess, plan, intervene, and evaluate patient care, while incorporating age-specific safety and infection control measures. The nurse will also maintain continuity of patient care across shifts and facilities.

Requirements

Associate Degree in Nursing; Nursing Diploma
RN (required)
CLIAFE Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency (required)
1 year experience as a clinical nurse or completion of an RN residency program Req
RN - Registered Nurse Upon Hire Req
BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly Req
CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training Maintained Annually 90 Days Req

Nice To Haves

BSN preferred
2 years of RN experience in cardiac or telemetry preferred
ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support 90 Days Req

Responsibilities
