About The Position

Raleigh General Hospital Registered Nurse, (RN) – Surgery. This is a full-time, in-person role. Raleigh General Hospital is part of Lifepoint Health, a diversified healthcare delivery network. As a Registered Nurse, RN joining our team, you’re embracing a vital mission dedicated to making communities healthier. The main Operating Room features seven fully equipped procedure rooms, each staffed with one circulator and two surgical technologists per room to ensure optimal patient care and support. Our OR team handles a wide array of specialties, including orthopedic and orthopedic trauma, sports medicine, general surgery, gynecology, vascular, podiatry, spine procedures, DaVinci robotic cases, trauma, and urology. Nurses working in this unit are required to maintain current certifications in PALS, BLS, and ACLS. The OR accommodates both inpatient and outpatient cases, offering a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• Current state RN license
• Associates or bachelor’s degree from an accredited nursing school
• Basic Life Support certification is required within 30 days of hire
• ACLS and PALS are required within six months of hire
• One year of experience preferred

Nice To Haves

• ASLS certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Performs accurate and thorough patient assessments and identifies patient needs
• Initiates appropriate nursing interventions based on assessment findings
• Provides age- and condition-appropriate nursing care
• Completes timely and accurate documentation supporting medical necessity in the medical record
• Develops, implements, and revises interdisciplinary care plans for each patient
