About The Position

The RN utilizes the nursing process in assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating the nursing care of patients from admission to the department through discharge or transfer. Provides expert care and education to patients in the perioperative setting, acts as a patient advocate, leader, and mentor for assistive personnel. The RN is knowledgeable in all surgical procedures, disease processes, interventions, and pharmacological agents. Manages patient loads in assigned timelines.

Requirements

Current state RN license
Associate’s degree from accredited nursing school
BLS for Healthcare Provider upon hire
ACLS within three (3) months of hire
OR RN experience required
Recent experience within last five (5) years in the perioperative field
Complete moderate sedation course within three (3) months of hire

Nice To Haves

CNOR certification preferred
OR Charge Nurse experience preferred

Responsibilities
