About The Position
This is a full-time Registered Nurse position in the Respiratory Intermediate Care Unit at Advocate Lutheran General Hospital. The unit is a 25-bed facility that cares for diverse patient populations requiring telemetry monitoring for medical, surgical, or cardiac-related issues, as well as those needing ventilator support. The hospital is Magnet-designated, a level 1 trauma center, and a teaching hospital, offering an excellent nursing culture and exposure to complex medical cases for professional growth.
Requirements
- Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
- Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
- ACLS within 6 months of hire
- 1 year minimum of Medical/Surgical nursing experience

- Provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care through the nursing process.
- Deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
- Utilize evidence-based practice, clinical decision-making, compassion, and communication skills.
