The Radiation Oncology Registered Nurse provides quality patient care through competent practice and application of the nursing process in an outpatient setting. This is a part-time benefited position, scheduled for 40 hours bi-weekly, with an eight-hour Day shift. The role involves supporting Radiation Oncology offices across Ann Arbor, Brighton, Canton, Chelsea, and Livonia, covering scheduled and unscheduled absences. The RN accepts accountability for coordinating nursing care for patients with complex medical and nursing needs under the direction of physicians within the radiation oncology department. They serve as a clinical resource to others within the cancer program and collaborate with health team members. The Registered Nurse is responsible for assessing patients, developing, evaluating, and modifying care plans, and performing complex patient-care procedures specific to their expertise. RNs are integral members of the Care Team and Support Team, working collaboratively to achieve patient outcomes.
