Registered Nurse (RN) - PT - Behavioral Health
About The Position
The Vines Hospital, affiliated with Universal Health Services, located in Ocala, FL, is a behavioral health facility offering individualized mental health and addiction treatment to adults and adolescents. Services include partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient programs, with offerings for acute psychiatric, detox, and PTSD treatment. The Registered Nurse (PT) will join the team in providing exceptional mental health care, supporting the mission to deliver compassionate and effective healthcare services. This role is vital in supporting treatment planning as a member of an interdisciplinary team, providing assessment of patients’ psychiatric and medical status, administering medication and medical treatment as prescribed by a physician, assessing, directing, and intervening in crisis situations, and providing and directing milieu management. The ideal candidate will have behavioral health experience, a strong work ethic, and highly consistent timeliness and attendance. New graduates are welcome.
Requirements
- Associate degree in Nursing required.
- Licensed in the State of Florida as a Registered Nurse required.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to relate to those emotionally disturbed and in crisis.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred.
- Minimum of two (2) years experience in the mental health field preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive psychiatric nursing care to patients.
- Conduct patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
- Administer medications and monitor patient responses.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure holistic patient care.
- Educate patients and families about mental health conditions and treatment options.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation.
- Participate in crisis intervention as needed.
- Uphold compliance with all healthcare regulations and standards.
