Registered Nurse (RN) - Progressive Care
About The Position
The Registered Nurse (RN) plays a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures. This role utilizes evidence-based practice, clinical decision-making, compassion, and communication skills while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum. The position is for a full-time, night shift role on a 20-bed adult Progressive Care / Step Down ICU unit (4 South) at Atrium Health Mercy. Patients on this unit often have complex, chronic diseases and require advanced nursing skills for conditions such as sepsis, renal failure, respiratory failure, and DKA, including the management of titratable drips.
Requirements
- Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
- Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
