About The Position
Provides direct patient care in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice. This role is at Maria Parham Medical Center in Henderson, NC, and is part of Lifepoint Health, a diversified healthcare delivery network. The position offers a $20,000 commitment bonus for 2 years and is a full-time day shift position (7am - 7pm).
Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of North Carolina (or compact license)
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN) from an accredited nursing program
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (required)
- One year of RN Hospital experience (required)

Responsibilities
- Performs plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, and clinical treatments.
- Documents patient care and monitors patient condition, communicating with care team, physician, patient, and family.
- Assists patients with activities of daily living, including hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
- Coordinates patient care across disciplines, including transfers, discharges, referrals, and support needs.
- Provides patient and family education appropriate to age, culture, and circumstances.
- Advocates for the physical and emotional well-being of patients.
- Participates in performance improvement and continuing education.
- Maintains regular and reliable attendance.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
