About The Position

This is a seasonal Registered Nurse (RN) position for the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) within the Central Staffing Office at Texas Health. The Central Staffing Office provides clinical staffing resources for all Texas Health Resources (THR) hospitals and is divided into specific regions. This department emphasizes high-performing staff with excellent critical thinking skills. The role requires availability for 36 hours per week on nights, from 7 PM to 7 AM. This position is not eligible for Full Time or Part Time benefits. The pay rate is $70.00 per hour. The work locations will primarily be in Region B, which includes Denton, Flower Mound, Southlake, HEB, Arlington Memorial, Heart & Vascular, Alliance, and Azle.

Requirements

  • Nursing Diploma or Associate’s degree in Nursing required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred.
  • Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency.
  • 5 years of experience with three years in the last five years as a Registered Nurse in area of specialty.
  • Texas RN - Registered Nurse required upon hire.
  • BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support upon hire.
  • ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support upon hire.
  • NIHSS - National Institute of Health Stroke Scale Certification within 30 days.
  • A high degree of confidentiality, positive interpersonal skills, and ability to function in a fast-paced environment.
