RN - Inpatient, Pediatric ICU
About The Position
We are seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) - PICU / CVPICU to join our remarkable highly skilled and committed multidisciplinary team, to provide family-centered care to critically ill or injured children and their families in this state-of-the art 21-bed unit. This role involves providing comprehensive care for patients admitted with a wide variety of both medical and surgical problems, including acute head injuries, critical neurological disorders, pulmonary diseases, cardiac anomalies, organ transplantation, multi-system organ failure, and ECMO. The position also requires providing high-quality care to complex cardiac conditions, including complex congenital heart defects, Ventricular Assisted Devices, and heart transplant.
Requirements
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of WI or holds a license issued by a jurisdiction that has adopted the nurse licensure compact Upon Hire Required
- Current CPR/BLS Certification Upon Hire Required
- PALS within 6 months Required
- Six (6) months nursing experience on Inpatient Units or current participant in UW Health’s Nurse Residency Program with successful completion of the Nurse Residency Orientation on unit/similar unit. Required
