About The Position

Bon Secours Mercy Health is seeking a Tier 3 - System Flex Team Traveler Registered Nurse (RN) to join their team. This role involves providing patient care across various sites within the Bon Secours Mercy Health System, outside of the nurse's home market. The RN will utilize the nursing process to promote and restore patient health, collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary teams, and providing support to patients and families. The position requires floating to assigned sites and may involve working in different markets. The System Flex Team aims to support nurses in their professional and personal growth.

Requirements

  • BLS
  • ACLS - American Heart Association (required)
  • Must have Compact License eNLC RN and/or licensed to work in OH, KY, VA, and SC.
  • Associate of Nursing or Diploma in Nursing (required)
  • One year as a Registered Nurse, minimum with nursing experience in specialty

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelors of Science, nursing (preferred)
  • 4-5 years as a Registered Nurse (preferred)
  • 1-2 years as a Travel Nurse (preferred)
  • Ability to function in multiple levels of care (preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Conducts an individualized patient assessment to include psychosocial, prioritizing the data collection based on the patient’s immediate condition or needs within timeframe specified by the Bon Secours Mercy Health System facility’s policies, procedures, or protocols.
  • Formulates and implements a plan of care for each patient which includes interventions, evaluation of response to interventions and documentation as appropriate to condition and age.
  • Delivers care with appropriate age and cultural competence that is individualized for the patient reflecting collaboration with other members of the healthcare team incorporating professional practice model into the care delivery.
  • Demonstrates awareness of and supports Bon Secours Mercy Health departmental and operating unit goals through participation in continuous quality improvement and departmental activities as a patient advocate.
  • Maintains in good standing current eNLC RN licensure and required certifications.
