About The Position

Bon Secours Mercy Health is seeking nurses for their Nursing Flex Team, offering opportunities for professional and personal growth. The Tier 3 - System Flex Team traveler Registered Nurse (RN) will be assigned to various sites throughout the Bon Secours Mercy Health System to provide patient care. This role involves promoting and restoring patients’ health through the nursing process, collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary team members, providing support to patients and families, and supervising assigned team members. The RN is responsible to the System Flex Nurse Manager. System Flex Team Registered Nurses are expected to float to assigned sites within the Bon Secours Mercy Health System outside of their home market. The role involves conducting individualized patient assessments, formulating and implementing plans of care, delivering culturally competent and age-appropriate care, and participating in continuous quality improvement activities.

Requirements

• Compact License eNLC RN and/or licensed to work in OH, KY, VA, and SC.
• BLS
• ACLS - American Heart Association (required)
• Associate of Nursing or Diploma in Nursing (required)
• One year as a Registered Nurse, minimum with nursing experience in specialty

Nice To Haves

• Bachelors of Science, nursing (preferred)
• 4-5 years as a Registered Nurse (preferred)
• 1-2 years as a Travel Nurse (preferred)
• Ability to function in multiple levels of care (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Conducts an individualized patient assessment to include psychosocial, prioritizing the data collection based on the patient’s immediate condition or needs within timeframe specified by the Bon Secours Mercy Health System facility’s policies, procedures, or protocols
• Formulates and implements a plan of care for each patient which includes interventions, evaluation of response to interventions and documentation as appropriate to condition and age.
• Delivers care with appropriate age and cultural competence that is individualized for the patient reflecting collaboration with other members of the healthcare team incorporating professional practice model into the care delivery
• Demonstrates awareness of and supports Bon Secours Mercy Health departmental and operating unit goals through participation in continuous quality improvement and departmental activities as a patient advocate.
• Maintains in good standing current eNLC RN licensure and required certifications
