About The Position

Bon Secours Mercy Health is seeking a Tier 3 - System Flex Team Traveler Registered Nurse (RN) to join their team. This role involves providing patient care across various sites within the Bon Secours Mercy Health System, outside of the nurse's home market. The RN will promote and restore patients’ health through the nursing process, adhering to the Standards and Scope of Practice. Responsibilities include analyzing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care, collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary team members, providing physical and psychological support to patients and families, and supervising assigned team members. The RN reports to the System Flex Nurse Manager. Requirements

  • Associate of Nursing or Diploma in Nursing (required)
  • BLS
  • ACLS - American Heart Association (required)
  • Must have Compact License eNLC RN and/or licensed to work in OH, KY, VA, and SC.
  • One year as a Registered Nurse, minimum with nursing experience in specialty

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelors of Science, nursing (preferred)
  • 4-5 years as a Registered Nurse (preferred)
  • 1-2 years as a Travel Nurse (preferred)
  • Ability to function in multiple levels of care (preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Provide patient care promoting and restoring patients’ health through the nursing process.
  • Analyze, plan, implement and evaluate patient care following established patient care standards.
  • Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary team members.
  • Provide physical and psychological support to patients, friends, and families.
  • Supervise assigned team members as assigned.
  • Float to assigned sites within the Bon Secours Mercy Health System outside of their home market.
  • Conduct an individualized patient assessment including psychosocial, prioritizing data collection based on the patient’s immediate condition or needs.
  • Formulate and implement a plan of care for each patient, including interventions, evaluation of response to interventions, and documentation.
  • Deliver care with appropriate age and cultural competence that is individualized for the patient.
  • Demonstrate awareness of and support Bon Secours Mercy Health departmental and operating unit goals through participation in continuous quality improvement and departmental activities as a patient advocate.
  • Maintain in good standing current eNLC RN licensure and required certifications.
