About The Position
This is a full-time Registered Nurse (RN) position in the ortho trauma department for the Night Shift, 7 PM-7:30 AM at University of Cincinnati Medical Center. The 28-bed unit cares for patients admitted from the ER, PACU, and SICU. Nursing care focuses on recovery from traumatic injury, emphasizing mobility, patient education, monitoring intake and outputs, and pain management. The unit also treats patients recovering from total knee, hip, and shoulder replacements, as well as spinal surgery cases. UCMC is the region's only Adult Level 1 Trauma Center, treating patients with severe and multiple fractures, non-healing fractures, bone infections, and other complex conditions resulting from motor vehicle crashes, gunshot wounds, and unforeseen accidents.
