About The Position

SCA Health is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) Operating Room to support perioperative patient care at North Coast Surgery Center. The role promotes SCA Health’s mission, vision, and values; assesses patients throughout the perioperative episode of care; develops individualized perioperative plans of care; and works as part of a multidisciplinary team to plan patient care.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current state nursing licensure in good standing.
• Complete Basic Life Support (BLS) within 90 days of employment or provide documentation of current BLS certification.
• Complete the Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) course within 90 days of employment or provide documentation of current ACLS certification.
• Complete the Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) course within 90 days of employment, or provide documentation of current PALS certification, when pediatric care is included in the facility’s scope of services.

Nice To Haves

• One year of operating room and/or medical-surgical nursing experience.
• Specialty certification in Perioperative Nursing.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient status throughout the perioperative episode of care.
• Develop an individualized perioperative patient plan of care.
• Serve as a member of a multidisciplinary team in planning perioperative patient care.
