About The Position
We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join the Labor & Delivery team for a 13-week assignment. The role provides comprehensive care in a combined Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, and Nursery unit. The position is focused on nighttime shifts. The unit includes a 9-bed LDRP unit with a dedicated OR suite and PACU, as well as a 3-bed Nursery. Average monthly deliveries are 35, and average monthly outpatient and OB ED volume is 100. Staff wear designated OB scrubs provided by the facility.
Requirements
- Significant experience in labor and delivery nursing.
- Current BLS certification.
- Current ACLS certification.
- Current NRP certification.
- Current Stable certification.
- Current Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certification.
Nice To Haves
- C-section circulator experience.
- Familiarity with electronic medical record systems, specifically TruBridge.
Responsibilities
- Care for patients in labor and assist with delivery, providing support before, during, and after childbirth.
- Monitor and care for newborns immediately following delivery.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers, including OB/Gyn, Family Medicine Obstetricians, and Nurse Midwives.
