About The Position

Southwest General Health Center is seeking compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurses (RNs) to join our team through our Graduate Nurse Residency Program (GNRP). This program is designed to support new RN graduates as they transition from academia to professional practice. Our facility offers a full range of medical, surgical, and emergency services, including a Level III trauma center, and is committed to providing holistic patient care. We foster an environment that supports professional growth, wellness, and personal fulfillment for our team members. As a professional caregiver, you will plan, provide, and direct patient care and teaching, utilizing the nursing process in accordance with patient care standards and physician orders. You will act as a liaison between physicians, patients, and families, and collaborate with other healthcare members. The role also involves assisting in the orientation of new personnel and potentially participating in health center and department committees. The staff nurse must demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to various age groups.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • Currently licensed by the Ohio State Board of Nursing.
  • Current license by the Ohio State Board of Nursing.
  • CPR certification required.
  • One year or less work experience (for GNRP eligibility).

Responsibilities

  • Plans, provides, and directs patient care and teaching, utilizing the nursing process in accordance with patient care standards and physician orders.
