Registered Nurse (RN) Neuro Telemetry Full Time Days
About The Position
The Registered Nurse (RN) Neuro Telemetry position is a full-time role on the day shift, working 36 hours per week from 7 am to 7 pm. The Neuro Telemetry Department at Texas Health Plano is a 25-bed unit focused on providing quality care for patients with conditions such as scoliosis, post-neurosurgeries, and stroke with multiple comorbidities. It is described as a fast-paced, high-volume department that also emphasizes work/life balance and offers opportunities for educational and career growth. The professional nurse in this role is expected to understand basic human needs and recognize patient affiliations.
Requirements
- Associate degree from an accredited Nursing program Or Diploma Nurse Program
- One-year experience as a clinical nurse, or completion of an RN residency program.
- BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support and ACLS – Advanced Cardiac Life Support and CPI – Crisis Prevention Intervention Training 60 Days Req
- RN must practice within the regulations of the Texas Nurse Practice Act, serve as a role model, intra/interdisciplinary collaborator and coordinator for quality patient care

Responsibilities
- Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process
- Assesses the patient
- Plans the care of the patient
- Intervenes as appropriate
- Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions
- Incorporates age-specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.
- Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant other’s need for information
- Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out-of-hospital transfers.
