We value your insights and experiences because they help us grow stronger together. 4EF is a 24-bed, all-private room unit specializing in respiratory care and is the only non-ICU unit at Luke’s caring for ventilator patients. While respiratory is our focus, we also treat a wide range of acute and chronic conditions, including COPD, CHF, pneumonia, sepsis, diabetic ulcers, and cellulitis. Our patients are high-acuity—just below ICU level, making this an excellent environment for skill development. As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures. Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.
Requirements
- Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
- Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
- Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program.
- Basic Life Support (BLS).
- Active registered nurse (RN) multi-state compact and/or single-state license with privileges to practice in the state(s) where the RN is providing client nursing services
- Typically requires 1 year of experience in clinical nursing.
- Strong clinical judgment and critical thinking.
- Time management, prioritization and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Proficiency in operating computer functions (e.g., E-mail, electronic records, digital platforms etc.) clinical, aviation, maintenance, communications, and administrative departments.
