Registered Nurse (RN) - Medical Telemetry
About The Position
This is a part-time Registered Nurse position in Medical Telemetry/Dialysis at Advocate Lutheran General Hospital. The role involves providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process, delivering safe and therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures. The nurse will utilize evidence-based practice, clinical decision-making, compassion, and communication skills to create the safest patient environment and best patient experience. The unit specializes in Medical Telemetry/Dialysis and cares for patients with a variety of complex medical cardiac diagnoses related to renal, GI, GU, Diabetes, Detox, including peritoneal and hemodialysis.
Requirements
- Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
- Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
- ACLS (or obtained within 3 months of hire)
- Minimum 1 year of nursing experience on a medical telemetry unit
