Registered Nurse (RN) -Medical Telemetry
About The Position
The Registered Nurse (RN) on the Medical Telemetry/Dialysis unit plays a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process. This involves delivering safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures. The RN utilizes evidence-based practice, clinical decision-making, compassion, and communication skills to lead efforts in creating the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum of care. The unit specializes in Medical Telemetry/Dialysis and cares for patients with a variety of complex medical cardiac diagnoses related to renal, GI, GU, Diabetes, and Detox, including peritoneal and hemodialysis.
Requirements
- Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
- Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
- ACLS (or obtained within 3 months of hire)
- Minimum 1 year of nursing experience on a medical telemetry unit or med/surg
