About The Position

Frye Regional Medical Center is hiring a full-time Registered Nurse for its 18-bed Medical Surgical unit. The department provides care to a variety of patients across the life span in a supportive, collaborative team environment. The role involves assessing patients, identifying needs, initiating nursing interventions, providing age- and condition-appropriate care, maintaining medical records, completing and revising interdisciplinary care plans, and conducting quality-improvement assessments.

The position is scheduled for three 12-hour day shifts, with self-scheduling and an every-other-weekend rotation. The posting offers a $10,000–$20,000 commitment-incentive bonus. Applicants must hold an active North Carolina RN license or compact license; required certifications include Basic Life Support within 30 days of hire and ACLS and PALS within six months of hire. A bachelor's degree is preferred but not required, as is one year of experience.

Requirements

• Current, active North Carolina RN license (single-state) or compact license; relocating employees must update licensure to the new Primary State of Residence before employment begins.
• Basic Life Support certification within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS and PALS certifications within six months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Accurately perform patient assessments and identify patient needs.
• Identify and initiate appropriate nursing interventions.
• Provide care appropriate to the patient's condition and age.
• Complete timely and appropriate documentation relating to medical necessity in the medical record.
• Complete and revise the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient.
• Complete timely and accurate quality-improvement assessments.
