About The Position
N3S is a 32-bed, semi-private unit providing care to a diverse adult and geriatric patient population. Our dynamic and talented team of nurses frequently cares for patients with a variety of complex medical conditions, including sepsis, pneumonia, gastrointestinal bleeding, and diabetic complications. N3S takes great pride in our commitment to patient safety and quality outcomes. Our team has made significant efforts to reduce patient falls and improve the overall quality of care on the unit. Through collaboration with our Clinical Nurse Specialist and Nursing Professional Development Practitioner, we have implemented specialized care plans designed to meet the unique needs of our geriatric population. At N3S, teamwork, collaboration, and continuous improvement are at the heart of what we do. We are committed to providing safe, compassionate, and evidence-based care while supporting the professional growth of every member of our team.
Requirements
- Completes and maintains all competencies and trainings as required for role.
- Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing
- PA Registered Nurse Temporary Practice Permit or Registered Nurse License
Responsibilities
- Evaluates assigned patients and plans, implements and documents nursing care.
- Delivers excellent nursing care through evaluations, planning, implementation, and documentation while serving a diverse patient population with complex concerns.
- Performs various patient tests and administers medications within the scope of practice of the registered nurse.
- Promotes patients' independence by establishing patient care goals and teaching patients and families to understand conditions, medications, and self-care skills.
- Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
