About The Position

This is a full-time Registered Nurse position in the Medical Surgical (Telemetry) department at Texas Health Plano. The role involves delivering care to patients using the Nursing Process, including assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation. The nurse will also incorporate age-specific safety and infection control measures, maintain continuity of patient care, and provide education to patients and their families. Texas Health Plano is a 386-bed, full-service hospital serving North Texas, specializing in emergency medicine and trauma, cardiology, neurosurgery and spine, advanced orthopedics, women’s services, adult and adolescent behavioral health, an adult intensive care unit, and technologically advanced surgical services. It is a Level II Trauma Facility, the only healthcare facility in Collin County with Level IV NICU and Level IV Maternal facility designations, and has a DNV-certified Comprehensive Stroke Program. The hospital is four-time Magnet-designated and offers an on-site childcare center.

Requirements

Associate degree from an accredited Nursing program; nursing diploma
1 year experience as a registered nurse or completion of a RN residency program
RN Nurse Upon Hire Required
BCLS - prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly Req

Nice To Haves

BSN preferred
Experience as preceptor and/or charge nurse highly preferred

Responsibilities
