About The Position

Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for a Med/Surg unit in a fast-paced healthcare environment. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care, collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, and ensure adherence to clinical standards and best practices.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg experience
• Recent experience within the past year required
• Strong clinical skills in: Physical assessment, Medication administration, IV therapy, Wound care & infection control, Post-operative care, Telemetry monitoring, Patient education
• Associate Degree in Nursing from an accredited institution
• Active New York State RN License (Primary Source Verified)
• AHA BLS Certification

Nice To Haves

• Experience in a large acute care hospital setting
• Experience with EPIC EMR system
• AHA ACLS Certification (preferred/required based on unit)

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans in collaboration with healthcare teams
• Provide direct bedside care to pre-operative and post-operative patients
• Administer and document medications in accordance with physician orders
• Perform clinical procedures such as wound care, IV therapy, catheter insertion, and dressing changes
• Monitor and interpret patient vital signs and report any adverse reactions promptly
• Operate and adjust medical equipment as needed
• Support discharge planning and patient transitions of care
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans and post-discharge care
• Maintain accurate patient records, charts, and documentation
• Follow established nursing standards, protocols, and infection control guidelines
