About The Position

Under minimal supervision, provides nursing care for a group of patients assigned to the nurse based on matching the patients’ needs with the nurse’ competencies. Completes established competencies for the position within designated introductory period. Other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Graduate of accredited school of nursing.
• Possession of current Texas State License for Registered Nurse.
• Must have active healthcare provider Basic Life Support on hire (ARC or AHA); however, must have AHA Healthcare Provider BLS within 60 days of hire.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelors Degree
• 2 years in acute care for Med/Surg
• ACLS (AHA) must be completed within 60 days of hire or transfer into the unit (for Dialysis Department)
• Non-Violent Crisis Intervention for Behavioral Health must be obtained within 60 days of hire or transfer into role (for Behavioral Health Unit)
