About The Position

Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking an experienced Med/Surg Registered Nurse (RN) to deliver high-quality patient care in a fast-paced medical-surgical environment. The RN will provide comprehensive nursing care, including pre-operative and post-operative support, while collaborating with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Requirements

Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg nursing experience in an acute or post-acute setting
Recent clinical experience within the past 12 months
Strong patient assessment and clinical decision-making skills
Experience with medication administration, IV therapy, and wound care
Knowledge of infection control practices and post-operative care
Familiarity with telemetry monitoring and patient education
Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited institution
Active Registered Nurse (RN) License – State of New York
Primary Source Verification through NYSED
BLS (Basic Life Support) – American Heart Association (AHA)
ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) – AHA (required for select units)

Responsibilities

Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans
Provide direct bedside care to medical and post-surgical patients
Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders
Perform clinical procedures including wound care, IV insertion, and catheterization
Monitor patient conditions and vital signs, reporting any changes promptly
Operate and manage medical equipment as required
Collaborate with physicians and care teams on treatment and discharge planning
Educate patients and families on care plans, procedures, and recovery processes
Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation in compliance with standards
Adhere to all clinical protocols, safety guidelines, and best practices
