Registered Nurse/RN – Med Surg Full Time Days
About The Position
This is a full-time Registered Nurse position in the Medical-Surgical department at Texas Health Rockwall. The role involves providing high-quality patient care, focusing on basic human needs, human respect, appreciation of unique meanings, affiliation needs, mutual problem-solving, attentive reassurance, and creating a healing environment. The department offers a supportive team environment, a strong shared governance structure, and new, advanced equipment and technology. Texas Health Rockwall is a 105-bed acute-care hospital serving Rockwall, Kaufman, Hunt, and surrounding counties, known for its comprehensive medical and surgical services and commitment to patient safety and exceptional clinical outcomes, as evidenced by its CMS Five-Star Rating and ANCC Pathway to Excellence® designation.
Requirements
- Nursing Diploma required or Associate’s degree in Nursing required or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred
- 1 year experience as registered nurse or completion of an RN residency program required
- Texas RN - Registered Nurse required upon hire
- BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care required upon hire and maintained quarterly
- CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training required within 90 days of hire and maintained annually
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support required within 90 days of hire
- A high degree of confidentiality, positive interpersonal skills, and ability to function in a fast-paced environment.
Nice To Haves
- Med Surg experience preferred
- Telemetry experience helpful
