Southern New Hampshire Medical Center's Maternal & Child Health Nurses provide flexible support across three core areas: The Birth Place (LDRP), Special Care Nursery (SCN), and Pediatrics. The Birth Place is an 18-room unit delivering family-centered care for over 1,000 births annually. The Level II Special Care Nursery cares for infants 32+ weeks. The 8-bed Pediatrics unit serves newborns through adolescents. This role offers a dynamic, collaborative environment where float nurses deliver high-quality, compassionate care across the continuum of maternal and child health. The MCH Clinical Float Pool RN is an experienced registered nurse who provides flexible coverage across multiple units within the Maternal Child Health division. Floating within the division is the primary function of this role. Float pool nurses are selected for this role based on clinical depth in their home specialty, a genuine comfort with variability, and willingness to maintain competency across multiple care settings.
