About The Position

We are currently looking for Registered Nurses (RN) and Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) to provide 1:1 care for pediatric and adult clients in Western Washington – including Seattle, Lake Forest Park, Shoreline, Mukilteo, and Kent. These cases offer 8, 10 or 12 hours shifts and have both part-time & full-time Registered Nurse (RN) and Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) positions available. We provide extensive, paid training and 24/7 clinical support. New Care has been training Registered Nurses and Licensed Practical Nurses to provide in-home critically complex skilled nursing care for medically fragile pediatric and adult clients for over 38 years. New Care nurses are the company's greatest assets, and we are renowned for taking care of our nurses so they are able to focus on delivering the highest standard of care in the medically intensive home health care industry. Our Registered Nurses (RN) and Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) work 8-12 hour shifts providing 1:1 patient centered, holistic and preventative care for clients with a variety of critical needs. Requirements

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the state of Washington
  • Current Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers Certification (BLS)
  • Demonstrated proficiency in clinical assessments and documentation

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the planning and delivery of patient focused holistic care
  • Provide respiratory and tracheostomy care, gastrostomy/jejunostomy care, urinary catheter care, and ventilator monitoring
  • Complete thorough documentation, including treatment and interventions
  • Provide emergency airway management
  • Seizure management and emergency medication administration
  • Complete PT/OT/ST therapies as ordered
  • Administer enteral and oral feedings
  • Position may included: attending school, work, outings (zoo, aquarium, etc.), travel or volunteering with patient
