About The Position

The Labor & Delivery/Recovery/Postpartum/Women’s Health Unit is located on the 3rd floor and features 14 beds, including a Level 1 nursery. Renovated in 2018, the unit provides comprehensive care for labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum patients, with Cesarean sections performed in a dedicated C-section suite. We follow AWHONN staffing guidelines, maintaining core staffing of three nurses, one surgical tech, and one OB tech around the clock, supported by a HUC Monday through Friday for 12 hours per day, as well as a dedicated Nursing Professional Development Specialist and Manager. The average daily census is approximately four mother-baby pairs, with patient stays ranging from 1–3 days depending on delivery type. All nurses are cross-trained in labor and delivery, postpartum, well-baby nursery, and GYN care, and we also accept post-op GYN patients. RN call coverage averages 40 hours per six-week period. We are seeking team players who are compassionate and committed to lifelong learning. As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
