About The Position

Mobile Health Team Inc. is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN)-Labor & Delivery (L&D) for a 13-week travel assignment in Great Barrington, MA. This position involves performing a wide variety of technical procedures requiring independent judgment and ingenuity, applying appropriate skills to facilitate a diagnosis, and potentially assuming supervisory or instructional responsibilities. The role also requires adherence to infection control policies, maintaining patient confidentiality, and demonstrating proficiency with PACS, HIS, and RIS computer systems, as well as CR, DR, and PACs applications. Attending mandatory annual education and maintaining department competencies are also key aspects of the position.

Requirements

  • 2 years current L & D experience
  • Post Partum/Mother Baby experience is required
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing [required]
  • Perm address must be included with profile
  • Traveler must have their own vehicle for this assignment
  • Massachusetts RN license
  • Active Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Certification
  • Active STABLE (Sugar, Temperature, Air Way, Blood Pressure, Lab Work and Emotional Support) Certification
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask
  • Willingness to participate in continuing education and training programs
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently

  • Drug screen and background check (facility required)

  • Client will not consider travelers within 50 miles of facility
  • 8hrs non-billable orientation

Responsibilities

  • Perform a wide variety of technical procedures, requiring independent judgment and ingenuity.
  • Apply appropriate skills to facilitate a diagnosis.
  • May be assigned independent responsibilities by Lead Technologist, Administrative Director, or Operations Manager.
  • Provide proper care of the client in accordance with the departmental and hospital policies and procedures.
  • May be responsible for assigned areas to assume responsibilities of supervision or instruction to department personnel as determined by Operations Manager or Lead Technologist.
  • Practice infection control and body substance isolation in clinical practice in compliance with departmental and hospital policies and OSHA standards.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
  • Demonstrate proper operation of PACS, HIS and RIS computer systems.
  • Demonstrate ability to operate and trouble shoot CR, DR and PACs applications.
  • Attend annual mandatory education to include blood borne pathogens, infection control, and body substance isolation.
  • Maintain department competencies as required.
