About The Position

Mobile Health Team Inc. is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) - Labor & Delivery for a 13-week travel assignment in Pittsfield, MA. This position involves night shifts and requires the nurse to monitor vital signs, administer medications, provide support to mothers and families, assist with procedures, and perform postpartum care. The role also includes preparing delivery rooms, documenting medical records, and educating new mothers on newborn care. The assignment is for 36 hours per week, with a start date of 8/17/2026.

Requirements

  • 2 years current L & D experience
  • Meditech Expanse experience strongly preferred
  • Perm address must be included with profile
  • Traveler must have their own vehicle for this assignment
  • Must have active American Heart Association or American Red Cross ACLS Certification
  • Must have active Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Certification
  • Massachusetts State License is required
  • Must have and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by the American Heart Association during employment
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask
  • Willingness to participate in continuing education and training programs
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
  • Strong communication, professionalism, and reliability
  • Drug screen and background check (facility required)

Responsibilities

  • Monitor the mother and baby's vital signs throughout labor and delivery
  • Administer medications and pain relief as required
  • Provide education and emotional support to the mother and family
  • Assist with labor-inducing procedures and techniques
  • Prepare and maintain delivery rooms and equipment
  • Assist obstetricians and midwives during delivery
  • Perform postpartum care and monitor recovery
  • Recognize and respond to complications or emergencies
  • Document medical records and update patient charts
  • Educate new mothers on newborn care practices
