About The Position

Virtua Health is hiring a full-time, on-site Registered Nurse for Labor and Delivery at its Voorhees location. The position is a 12-hour night shift, 7 p.m. to 7 a.m., with 36 total weekly hours. Labor and Delivery/obstetrics experience is required. The nurse assesses, diagnoses, plans, implements, and evaluates patient care using outcome identification and evidence-based practice. As an integral member of the healthcare team, the nurse coordinates care and collaborates with other team members, patients, and patients’ families or significant others while maintaining high standards of professional ethics.

Requirements

Labor and Delivery/obstetrics experience is required.
Knowledge of nursing skills, hospital practices, procedures, and standards.
Strong communication skills.
Ability to coordinate the efforts of a team of care providers.
Valid New Jersey RN license; approved licenses must be presented and maintained in accordance with the State of New Jersey Licensing Board.
Maintain current nursing practice knowledge through ongoing education, journals, and similar resources.

Responsibilities

Maintain professional and departmental competencies.
Coordinate patient care and communicate and collaborate with healthcare team members, patients, and families or significant others.
