About The Position

The Piedmont Joint Camp is a 24-bed orthopedic post-operative unit specializing in the recovery and rehabilitation of patients undergoing total joint replacement surgeries. Team members provide high-quality, patient-centered care focused on pain management, mobility, education, and safe discharge planning. Staff collaborate closely with surgeons, physical therapists, case managers, and nursing leadership to ensure consistent clinical excellence and an exceptional patient experience. As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures. Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision-making, compassion, and skilled communication, you will lead efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.

Requirements

  • Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
  • Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
  • Greater than 1 year of RN experience

Responsibilities

  • Monitor post-operative status
  • Manage surgical drains and dressings
  • Support early ambulation
  • Educate patients and families on recovery expectations
  • Maintain a safe, encouraging environment that promotes optimal healing and independence
  • Provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care through the nursing process
  • Deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures
  • Utilize evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication
  • Lead efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum
