About The Position

Fairview Health Services is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Interventional Imaging team at our University of Minnesota Medical Center - East Bank location in Minneapolis, MN. The Registered Nurse is responsible for the assessment, planning, delivery, and evaluation of nursing care for all assigned patient population(s). The RN is responsible for performing these responsibilities in accordance with all policy, procedures, professional practice guidelines and the MN Nurse Practice Act. The RN coordinates care with members of the health care team and delegates responsibilities to others as appropriate. This position is a 0.70 FTE (56 hours per two‑week pay period) on 8‑hour day shifts. This role is onsite Monday–Friday with rotating shifts (7:30–4:00 and 9:00–5:30) includes on‑call coverage 1–2 weeknights per pay period, every 6–7 weekends, and one holiday per year. Our on call requires 30 minute arrival to the hospital.

Requirements

  • MN Registered Nurse (RN) License
  • BLS-Basic Life Support (American Heart Assoc or Red Cross)
  • ACLS-Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support
  • Minimum of two years IR, Critical Care Experience (experience with hemodynamic monitoring, advanced airways, vents, critical care drips, IV pressers, and ACLS related drugs) in one or more of the following areas: ICU or ED
  • Previous IR/Interventional Radiology or Cardiac Cath Lab experience

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelors Degree in Nursing
  • 3+ years experience in Critical Care, Interventional Radiology, Cath Lab, or ED
  • Moderate sedation experience
  • Comfortable with airway management

  • Demonstrates the ability to advance care by utilizing standards, guidelines, care pathways and continuous improvement to enhance patient outcomes.
