Up to $25k Sign on Bonus - Ask for more details. This role provides primary nursing support to the physician and patient to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of the patient's condition. It also provides patient education, promotes an understanding of the condition and adheres with the treatment plan. The Registered Clinic Nurse functions in the spirit of teamwork, is accountable for the delivery of care utilizing skills learned in the clinic, and assists other team members on the unit. The role involves triaging patient sick calls to facilitate appropriate treatment plans with providers, obtaining and documenting patient medical history, chief complaint, vital signs, and providing basic medical data for the provider. It also includes preparing the patient for examinations, overseeing chart checks to ensure all patient completed testing is available for provider visits, and assisting providers in procedures as directed. The role also involves collecting and preparing laboratory specimens and completing associated paperwork, executing and documenting ongoing patient communication, and providing instructions to ensure patient's understanding of medical condition and compliance with treatment instructions. Additionally, the role includes inserting, monitoring, regulating, and discontinuing IV's as required by the provider, administering medications, IV push medications, and topical medications. The Registered Nurse will routinely inspect and observe the condition and operations of diagnostic equipment and instrumentation to ensure proper operation and identify the need for preventative and corrective maintenance. May clean, sterilize, and prepare instruments according to established protocols to ensure the required level of asepsis and adequate availability. Cleans and sets up procedure rooms between cases, ensures the required level of asepsis, availability of appropriate instruments and equipment, and preparation of patient. Educates patients on all aspects of medication and treatments as appropriate. Assists in all aspects of day-to-day clinic activity. Work is typically performed in a clinical environment. Accountable for satisfying all job specific obligations and complying with all organization policies and procedures. Requirements

  • One year of acute care RN work experience is required.
  • Licensed Registered Nurse (Pennsylvania)
  • Basic Life Support Certification
  • Graduate from Specialty Training Program

Nice To Haves

  • RN critical care experience is preferred.
  • BLS, ACLS and PALS is preferred at time of hire and required after hire.
  • Minimum of 1 year-Related work experience
