The Registered Nurse (RN) in Interventional Cardiology - Cath Lab will engage in unit councils, professional governance, and quality initiatives to improve care processes and apply evidence-based practices. This role utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement, and evaluate nursing care, engaging patients and families through the continuum of care. The RN will monitor patient conditions, adjust care plans, mobilize resources, and collaborate with the care team to influence care outcomes. Upholding a culture of safety, the nurse will continuously evaluate patient, team, and unit outcomes, taking action as needed. Responsibilities include administering medications, treatments, and therapies safely, demonstrating effective communication, feedback, and conflict resolution, and pursuing professional development. Adherence to the ANA Code of Ethics and ethical decision-making is expected, along with appropriate delegation to other nursing staff and timely EHR documentation. The RN may be required to float to other units or facilities to meet patient care needs and must demonstrate knowledge and skills appropriate to the age of the patients served.
