About The Position

This position is for a Registered Nurse (RN) working in the Operating Room (OR) with a focus on Neurosurgery at University Hospital in Madison, WI. The role involves working with a multidisciplinary team to plan and coordinate patient care in the OR, ensuring efficiency in surgical case progression and turnover. The RN will implement safe, competent, and efficient patient and family care according to established policies and standards, tailored to the complexity of the perioperative patient. Requirements

• Registration as a professional nurse in the state of Wisconsin Upon Hire
• CPR certification Upon Hire
• 6 months of relevant clinical experience

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN)
• Clinical operating room experience
• ACLS certification
• PALS certification

Responsibilities

• Work with a multidisciplinary team to plan for patient care in the operating room in a timely manner.
• Communicate and coordinate operating room activities to facilitate efficiency in the surgical case progression and turnover between cases.
• Implement safe, competent, and efficient patient and family care within policies, procedures, and standards of care plan to the perioperative patient’s level of complexity.
