RN - Inpatient OR, Neurosurgery
About The Position
We are seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to work with a multidisciplinary team to plan for patient care in the operating room in a timely manner. This role involves communicating and coordinating operating room activities to facilitate efficiency in surgical case progression and turnover between cases. The RN will implement safe, competent, and efficient patient and family care within policies, procedures, and standards of care plan to the perioperative patient’s level of complexity. This position is 80% FTE, with 8/12 hour day/evening shifts, Monday – Friday, and includes weekday and weekend call responsibilities, as well as holiday triage and call responsibilities. Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department. You will be working at University Hospital in Madison, WI.
Requirements
- 6 months of relevant clinical experience Required
- Registration as a professional nurse in the state of Wisconsin Upon Hire Required
- CPR certification Upon Hire Required
Nice To Haves
- Clinical operating room experience Preferred
- ACLS certification Preferred
- PALS certification Preferred
