About The Position

This is an 80% FTE position with 8/12 hour day/evening shifts, Monday – Friday. The role involves weekday and weekend call responsibilities, as well as holiday triage and call responsibilities. Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department. The Registered Nurse (RN) will work at University Hospital in Madison, WI, as part of a multidisciplinary team to plan for patient care in the operating room in a timely manner. Responsibilities include communicating and coordinating operating room activities to facilitate efficiency in surgical case progression and turnover between cases, and implementing safe, competent, and efficient patient and family care within policies, procedures, and standards of care plan to the perioperative patient’s level of complexity.

Requirements

Registration as a professional nurse in the state of Wisconsin Upon Hire
CPR certification Upon Hire
6 months of relevant clinical experience

Nice To Haves

Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN)
Clinical operating room experience
ACLS certification
PALS certification

Responsibilities
