About The Position

This Registered Nurse (RN) position is a 60% FTE role requiring two 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM) with one 8:00 AM - 8:30 PM shift every three weeks. Hours may vary based on departmental needs. The role is located at University Hospital in Madison, WI. The successful candidate will join a team of remarkable nurses, collaborating with qualified providers and technical staff using state-of-the-art technology. The department provides care in various modalities including procedure prep and recovery, Interventional Radiology (Body and Neuro), Ultrasound, MRI, and Musculoskeletal. The team is involved in cutting-edge, evidence-based therapies and research studies to improve patient outcomes. Nurses are encouraged and supported to participate in quality improvement initiatives and lead practice change, fostering a culture of teaching and learning.

Requirements

  • Inpatient Units and Central Float (Adult & Pediatric), Venous Access Team (VAT), Radiology, Hemodialysis, Cardiovascular Laboratory: Six (6) months nursing experience or current participant in UW Health’s Nurse Residency Program with successful completion of the Nurse Residency Orientation on unit/similar unit. Required
  • eICU: Two (2) years of nursing experience Required
  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of WI or holds a license issued by a jurisdiction that has adopted the nurse licensure compact Upon Hire Required
  • Current CPR/BLS Certification Upon Hire Required
  • ACLS within 6 months Required

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) Preferred
  • Relevant RN Experience Preferred
  • Relevant certification Preferred

Responsibilities
