RN, Infusion (Oncology Infusion RN)
About The Position
Sanford Health, the largest rural health system in the United States, is dedicated to transforming the health care experience and providing access to world-class health care in America’s heartland. Join a collaborative and patient-centered Oncology Infusion team supporting four Oncologists/Hematologists and three Oncology Certified Nurse Practitioners in a dynamic outpatient setting. As part of a skilled team of seven Registered Nurses, you will deliver high-quality infusion therapies to oncology patients while working closely with providers to ensure safe and effective care. This role offers an excellent opportunity to expand your infusion nursing skills while developing specialized knowledge in chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and oncology symptom and side-effect management. Nurses are supported in advancing their professional growth through structured learning and hands-on experience. Our program is committed to professional development, offering the opportunity to work toward: Nationally recognized Chemotherapy/Immunotherapy competency, Oncology Nurse Certification (OCN®) through the Oncology Nursing Society (ONS). Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited nursing program required, including, but not limited to, American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN), Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), and National League for Nursing Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (NLN CNEA).
- Currently holds an unenciphere RN license with the State Board of Nursing where the practice of nursing is occurring and/or possess multistate licensure if in a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state.
- Obtains and subsequently maintains required department specific licensure, competencies and certifications.

- Bachelor’s Degree in nursing preferred.
Responsibilities
- Utilizing the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes/planning, implementation and evaluation) to provide individualized nursing care to infusion patients.
- Performing age related patient assessment and intervention as well as scheduling tests and interventions per provider order.
- Utilizing the professional nursing process to provide individualized nursing care to patients across age continuum in the infusion care setting.
- Utilizing the professional nursing process to provide individualized care to patients across age continuum.
- Collaborating with other inter-professional colleagues, including physicians, to plan, implement and evaluate care.
- Demonstrating competency and practicing within the full scope of nursing expertise/knowledge and utilizing appropriate age and population specific standards as designated in their assigned clinical setting.
- Functioning within the scope and standards of nursing practice as outlined in the Nurse Practice Act and Administrative Rules in state of practice and licensure.
